Salary

Grade 2 - £18,342 to £21,236. This post attracts an additional 12.5% shift allowance.

This exciting opportunity is fixed-term until 31 March 2021.

Our University operates with our own core team of security and we are now looking to recruit Security Assistants to join our existing team responsible for the security and safety of University staff, students, visitors and equipment.

As a Security Assistant you will support security services and ensure campus safety across the university. You will undertake visible patrols, control room duties, support to car parks, support movement around the university and partnership work.

The position entails working a 37 hour week on a two shift cycle with a requirement to work a night shift (up to 3 weeks per year pro rata).The shift patterns cover the following times to cover the requirements of the university all year round including weekends. Early 05:45 – 14:00, Late 13:45-22:00, Nights 21:45 – 06:00.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
