Job Description

The Duties:

As Group Assistant Financial Accountant you will support the Group Financial Accountant and take responsibility for;

  • Support with the completion of annual financial and statutory accounts for a portfolio of their many Companies within the Group.
  • Supporting the Group Financial Accountant and Head of Financial Accounts with external audit review.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders in order to produce timely year end and interim accounts.
  • Supporting with Bank Reconciliations, including intercompany, payment, and investments.
  • Providing support and query resolution to stakeholders across the group.
  • Supporting on various projects to ensure efficiency and accuracy across the department.

The Requirements:

This role would be best suited to a Chartered Practice candidate looking to move into Financial Accounts within a large industry company. You must have at least 3 years experience in Practice, or within a Financial Accounts role within a large company, preparing year end accounts for clients and Companies. You will be a successful Graduate or AAT qualified, as well as newly qualified ACCA/ACA. This role requires an individual who is keen to excel in their career within a short space of time.

You will have a strong personality and be an excellent communicator with all levels, even at such an early stage in your career. You will be confident, enthusiastic and resilient. An ambitious, motivated and driven individual, hungry for success is a must! You will be able to cope with managing your own demanding workload as well as with busy periods within the Financial calendar.
