Job Description

Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as internal departments, contractors and suppliers

Track order progress and assist in overdue report handling. Liaise regularly with suppliers, haulage companies and internal customers to keep urgent request and projects on time

Raise purchase orders to product or service specifications and proactively track order progress.

Plan workload to ensure all order requests are processed within set time scales

Monitor reorder levels to maintain optimum stock holding

Maintain an accurate database (purchase prices, lead times, vendor information, etc.) at all times

Review supplier quotes, order acknowledgements and invoices to ensure that PO’s updated accordingly

Investigate and resolve relevant supplier/general buying queries and assist with the Plasser URCT procedure

Create and maintain internal part numbers and update vendor information

Assist with updating internal supplier rating system and performance management

Ad hoc administrative duties and involvement in project work as required

To undertake any other tasks, from time to time as required by Engineering Sales Manager and SMT commensurate with the salary of the post.
