Job Description
You will be supported in gaining the skills needed of an office administrative assistant.
Liaise with and support parents and other family members.
To be constantly aware of the security and safety of the children.
Writing and dispatching professional letters and email.
Answering the telephone, taking accurate messages and taking responsibility for following up on enquiries and queries.
Photocopying and collating documents.
Maintaining records, filing systems and computer files.
Processing purchase orders, obtaining quotes, placing orders with suppliers, accepting deliveries and ensuring that accurate records are kept and purchasing procedures are followed.
Support the day to day control of the purchase order database to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
Managing stock levels of uniform, stationary, cleaning and office-based supplies and re-ordering when necessary.
Inputting confidential information to the schools Management Information System and maintaining accurate daily records. Contributing to the termly school census.
Accepting cash and cheques payments for lunches, milk, trips and uniforms. Keeping records of payments and issuing receipts.
Inputting data to the schools financial management systems, providing reports and taking responsibility for regular financial tasks.
Undertaking any other tasks/duties as may be reasonably required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
4 GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) including math and English. Training to be provided. Proficient in Microsoft Office packages. Confident in learning new technology and systems. Excellent numeracy and literacy skills. Confident using the telephone and dealing with people face to face. Excellent customer service skills.
