Job Description

MAIN DUTIES

1. To professionally and confidentially support patients and clinicians to ensure a high standard and efficient service.

2. Book patients into appointments discreetly and accurately by collection and recording of patient data

3. Keep the reception area clean and tidy, making sure the area is hazard free i.e. chairs are placed against the wall

4. Manage the patient information on the notice boards and ensure information is current and tidy

5. Support patients to use the BP pod if required

6. Manage patient expectations and deliver an appropriate service

7. Assist and support other staff, both clinical and non-clinical in the day to day running of the hub and reception areas

8. Make appointments for patients and answer patient queries

9. Answer internal and external phone calls in a prompt and professional manner

10. Assisting in keeping clinical rooms well stocked and organized at regular intervals

11. Management of the patient’s medical record and support the medical staff in undertaking necessary actions

12. Undertake daily tasks as allocated by your line manager

13. Inputting data to the patients record in accordance with guidance

14. Handling monies in line with company policies

15. Adhering to relevant SOP’s

16. Dealing with enquiries flowed to the Patient Services team in professional and appropriate manner.

17. Filing, archiving and appropriate storage of patient’s records and other confidential information

18. All other tasks associated with Health Care administration

19. Accessing, retrieving and storing patients paper records as per instruction from Data Quality

20. Distribute pre-prepared medications to dispensing patients as per Dispensers instructions

21. Ensure security checks are made for patients before providing information or supplies, such as prescriptions

22. Restock admin and stationary supplies to ensure they are kept available

23. To ensure any CQC requirements and/or documentation for which the post holder is responsible for is completed timely and accurately.

24. To also ensure any procedures and processes applicable to the role are followed timely and accurately.

25. To ensure you devote the whole of your time, attention and abilities to your role, our business and its goals

26. To assist the Team Leader and Operations Manager with all clerical and administrative duties as required.

27. To receive and dispatch mail and carry out any actions as requested by doctors.

28. Such other duties as may reasonably be delegated.
