Our client is seeking a senior accountant to join their London office. This individual will serve as the senior accounting manager for the firm's non-US operations. They will report directly to the US-based CFO and will be accountable locally to the COO and senior business team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibility for accounting matters in EMEA and APAC. This includes overseeing the preparation of management accounts, corporate accounts, invoicing, accounts payable, expense reporting, VAT returns, tax returns, etc.
Receive, direct and execute payment of invoices with third-party service providers.
Ensure payments and related journal entries are completed and communicated properly.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and obligations relating to accounting and tax.
Work with third party accounting firms who handle accounting operations in various countries.
Provide information and draft reporting as necessary for local and U.S. audit and tax firms.
Maintain accurate records and prepare internal and statutory reports.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Chartered accountant Undergraduate degree In-house experience is desirable though not essential. Familiarity with US and international/cross-border matters desirable. Experience using Netsuite, Microsoft Office and Excel. Strong analytical and numerical skills. Outstanding written and oral communication skills. Client service mindset and excellent interpersonal skills.
