We are looking for a high energy and forward-thinking treasury professional. Our client is looking for someone who has had an exemplary track record thus far in their career.

We are looking for people who can tick the following boxes.

  • Qualified Treasury Accountant. (ACT, CTA or ACA)
  • Someone with a strong group treasury background gained across a global business.
  • Someone who has had a very progressive career to date.
  • The spark required to really add value to a rapidly expanding business.
  • A good sense of humour.
  • Experience of leading and setting up a treasury function.

The successful Director of Treasury must be a qualified treasury accountant (ACA, ACT, CTA or equivalent) and have a strong academic background and technical accounting grounding.

Key responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership for the group treasury function.
  • Lead all cashflow management including cashflow forecasts, scenario planning and analysis.
  • Manage all group banking facilities, including opening new bank accounts, building new relationships, payments, covenants, mandates and closing.
  • Lead all of the group's debt facilities.
  • Manage all drawdowns for the group debt facilities and loans.
  • Act as a true business partner to the board, wider business and advisors.
  • Manage all external relationships with banks, investors and FX traders.
  • Support the CFO in securing finance arrangements for the group.
  • Commercially be aware of all interest rates, fx and banking relationships globally.
  • Support in preparing and presenting board and investor packs.
  • Have the ability to set up a strong treasury function from scratch.
  • Be a champion of processes, controls and risk management
  • Work closely with the CTO on systems capability and business performance.
  • Act as a true leader for the wider business, demonstrating key cultural traits around innovation, inclusion and diversity.

A proven track record in treasury is key. Experience of working for an international business would be highly advantageous.

Sector experience isn't essential, but an understanding of real estate, hospitality, outsourcing or multi-site would be very helpful.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The successful Director of Treasury is likely to be a qualified accountant (ACT, CTA or ACA or equivalent) with a strong academic background. A strong proven track record of stability and career progression is key. This could suit a Head of Treasury looking for a change or a Group Treasurer / Director of Treasury wanting to work in a more varied and autonomous environment.
