Management of team of two (Finance Manager and Office Manager)
Financial reporting, cash monitoring and management, cost control, tax compliance
Contract, coordinate and work with outside service providers for tax preparation, auditing, banking, regulatory, and other financial, legal and regulatory needs as necessary
Financial Regulation
Responsible for regulatory compliance and oversight for all aspects of the group and its transactions
Responsible for all FCA related monitoring, reporting and training
HR
Oversee relevant employees, including assistants and accountants
Responsibility for HR function, including leading the hiring process and any disciplinary performance or budgetary related processes
Legal
Review and prepare contracts such as NDAs and engagement letters, as well as familiarity with transaction documentation and ability to lead and coordinate a transaction process (lawyers, counterparties, etc)
Operations
Responsible for group operating infrastructure and technology needs (IT, communications, systems, policies Health and Safety, property related matters)
Technology
Manage IT function and stay up to date with technological advances and software to help streamline the business
Relationship Management
Key role in establishing and maintaining relationship with a wide range of professional advisors, clients, investors keeping tight cost control, and leveraging their relevant expertise (UK and international taxation, legal structuring, financial regulation, HR matters, regulatory compliance,
Investor relations - communication, reporting to, coordination with family offices, their principals, staff and advisors as necessary
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Professional qualification such as CIMA/ACA/ACCA or similar strongly preferred Organisational and time management skills, attention to detail, and an ability to work under pressure are all critical skills 'Can-do' attitude, solution focused with plenty of initiative, and ability to work in small teams Commercial, flexible and entrepreneurial Discretion and confidentiality with company and client information Foreign language skills an advantage (mainly European), but not essential Solid commercial knowledge of relevant tax, accounting, HR and regulatory matters Understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles Proven experience as a CFO, or similar role, ideally within a regulated environment
