Job Description

We are looking for Customer Banking Advisors to join our existing team within a well-known high street banking client based in Leeds City Centre. This is a great opportunity for graduates, anyone who is looking to kick-start a career in the Financial Services Sector or if you just want expand on current banking or financial experience. Full paid training is provided in the first 5 weeks.

Customer Advisor - Banking

Location - Leeds City Centre
Contract - Permanent (35 or 37 hours a week available)

Salary - £9.36 per hour increasing to £9.80 per hour once probation passed (Up to £18,855pa).

Hours - Department open between 7am-11pm Monday-Sunday, choice of fixed shifts dependent on availability. We require candidates who are flexible and prepared to work between these hours. Training 9.30-5.30pm Monday to Friday.

As a Customer Banking Advisor, you will support customers with their enquiries around Standing Orders, Direct Debit payments, International Money Transfers and General Banking queries whilst providing an excellent customer service. You will ensure all requests are dealt with efficiently and effectively.

We are looking for motivated individuals with:

  • A passion for helping people along with relevant experience in face-to-face or call centre-based customer service
  • Excellent verbal, communication & listening skills
  • Numeracy and computer literate (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel)
  • Customer focused when dealing with a range of people, including vulnerable customers
  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Be highly organized and able to manage own workload to meet stretching personal and team targets

Previous financial services or banking experience is an advantage but not essential
