Interim Audit and Controls Manager

This is a 3 - 6-month contract that could potentially go temp to perm.

Robert Half are delighted to managing an exclusive search to secure a new Interim Audit and Controls Manager on behalf of a fast growing and international service business based in Surrey. This business has a global presence and a multi-billion turn over.

This is brand new role and is reporting into the Director of Audit and Controls and will be involved in supporting the existing finance team implement some key changes.

This is a really hands on a varied interim role that would suit someone who is a technical expert but who is happy to be hands on.

The Role

The successful Interim Audit and Controls Manager is likely to be a really down to earth and nice period who can deliver the following:

Key responsibilities:

• Implement new financial controls around the balance sheet.
• Manage all balance sheet reconciliation vs new controls
• Complete risk assessments and build new risk dashboards.
• Improve financial controls and risk by putting in place robust processes.
• Complete an audit of the balance sheet.
• Support the internal and external audit teams.
• Ask as a true business partner to the wider business.
• Support the CFO on ad hoc projects and management reporting.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The successful Interim Audit and Controls Manager is likely to be a fun and hands on accountant who can lead and inspire others. Balance sheet assurance / audit skills is critical. This could suit an ACA looking for an interim assignment, someone who has worked in audit or someone who a strong process accountant with strong balance sheet experience.
