Job Description

• Overall Management of the Accounting function, ensuring data integrity and accuracy within the ledgers of the UK and European entities.
• Management of the Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly accounting processes, with responsibility for all journal and ledger entries
• Preparation of monthly management accounts, and relevant data reporting (in conjunction with the Head of FP&A)
• Manage all quarterly and year end external audits, plus responsibility for maintaining a robust system of internal controls (SOX)
• All aspects of the performance management of 4 direct reports and overall responsible for the wider Accounting and Sales Order Processing teams.
• Management of the transactions finance teams: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Sales Order Processing.
• Management of Tax, Treasury and working capital matters
• Deputise for the Finance Director in certain situations
• Work with the US finance department to develop effective working practices
• Responsible for all Statutory reporting & regulatory filings for the UK and European entities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Formal Finance Qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) Strong technical accounting skills and great attention to detail Strong people management skills, with demonstrable experience Strong excel skills Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work closely and communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial people FMCG / Retail experience (desirable) Experience of working in an international, multi-currency business (desirable)
