Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

* Primary aim is to ensure timely preparation of management accounts and financial reports across all entities.

* Seamless interaction between all relevant stakeholders to ensure all financial information is correct.

* Delivering accurate and timely financial information to assist the decision making process.

* Working closely with the HOF and finance assistant.

* Attending relevant business critical meetings.

* Delivering reports/analysis as required.

ROLE & KEY TASKS

To assist in the meeting the goals of the company by providing accurate, reliable finance information for effective decision making and strategic planning.

* Preparation of monthly management accounts

* Balance sheet reconciliations

* Monthly cashflow statements

* Sales and Margin reporting including, margin bridges and variance analysis

* Overall responsibility and management of purchase, sales and nominal ledger. Including primary review of all sales and purchase invoices

* Working closely with the finance assistant to ensure cashbooks are up to date

* Foreign currency revaluation

* Stock valuation and reporting

* Invoice finance reconciliations across all our accounts. Providing daily updates to finance assistant to enable receipts to be posted to sales ledger.

* Assist in budget and forecast preparation as required

* Quarterly/half yearly VAT returns

* EC Sales reporting to HMRC


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* A part qualified accountant with at least 5 years working experience * Accounting based degree completed * Good communication skills and have the ability to communicate finance to non-financial managers * Sage 200 experience * Advanced excel knowledge (complex formulas) * Highly numerate, confident and demonstrates passion for business * Excellent time management skills and commitment to deliver to strict timetables while working to high standards * Excellent communication and negotiation skills * Ability to deal with multiple priorities and fast-moving requirements is critical * Self-motivated and solution orientated * Proactive approach, always looking for improvements to processes and reporting
