In this position you will be involved in all departments of the company. This is a fab role to understand the business fully and to build solid relationships internally.
As the Project Accountant you will be coming from an Assistant Accountant/ Assistant Management Accountant role looking for an opportunity to improve on your stakeholder engagement and finance business partnering skills.
You will be responsible for up to 12 projects at any one time, working in a small team:
Managing the projects budgets on a day to day basis and review performance against budget
Produce periodical project budget control reports
Project and business analysis
Having a keen eye to identify potential risks in the projects/ areas where there could be over spend etc
Producing insight and analysis on the project and liaise with non-financial parties to understand whats happening with the project to be able to explian the story behind the numbers
Reviewing and coding purchase invoices for approvals
Assisting other department managers with tax and payroll requirements
VAT returns
Process improvement and reporting improvement recommendations
CIS returns
Reconcialtions
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You will be AAT qualified and/or studying CIMA and looking for a role that has variety and opportunity to grow in the role. You will need to be confident and have the ability to interact at all levels. Ideally you will be able to demonstrate Strong stakeholder skills and give scenarios where you have conducted meetings with non -financial persons as well as showing the ability to understand,question and investigate to tell the story behind the numbers. You will be driven, intuitive, a natural problem solver, and have investigative skills to get underneath the numbers.
