Job Description

This role is based at our Huddersfield site and will be varied and exciting. It will include general telephone sales duties, creating formal quotations, creating formal quotations and following up quotations with the customer. As a member of the Internal Sales Team you will often be the first contact with the customer,

Experience

2 years experience working in the electrical wholesale sector is preferable

Required Skills

Technical: Some technical knowledge and understanding of control and distribution products

Telephone Skills: Due to being the first point of contact with the customer excellent communication skills are required. This includes having a caring demeanor with customers and the abiliy to question customers carefully and sensitively to determine their real needs.

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Good IT Skills: You will need to have a sound knowledge and experience working with Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Good organizational Skills with a methodical way of working and attention to detail

Experience of using Catalogues / Datasheets is preferable: You will at times, and with relevant training, be required to establish parts numbers by looking up the specifications on catalogues/datasheets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building, developing and managing relationships with customers
  • Creation of formal quotations
  • Verbal quotations over the telephone
  • Building, developing and managing relationships with suppliers
  • Obtaining relevant quotations from suppliers.
  • Dealing with and resolving any customer queries
  • Maintaining a good level of product knowledge

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You must be reliable and punctual, be self-motivated and enthusiastic with a solid work ethic and a can do attitude whilst being a team player who enjoys a busy and productive working environment. Candidates will be technically competent, and ideally have sales experience or a keen desire to learn.
