About the company
My client, a private members club in Fulham are thriving with new members joining in 2020 and looking to expand their accounts team as a result. The Finance Director who leads a team of 4 is looking for an additional Accounts Assistant (Payables) to join their professional team within the grounds of the club offering guidance and support and opportunities for development. You will have opportunities to engage in the management accounts process.
What you will be doing
Reporting into the Finance Manager you will be working on:
- Managing the accounts payable process
- Preparing high value multi-currency payments and invoices
- Resolving all queries from suppliers
- Reconciling banks accounts and supplier statements
- Supporting senior staff with commentary on month end reports
- Assisting with journals, reports and budgets
Essential skills/experience
- Experience in purchase ledger
- Managing multiple supplier accounts
- Preparing weekly payment runs
- Reconciling banks accounts and supplier statements
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables and v-Lookups)
Desirable skills/experience
- 1+ years’ purchase ledger experience
- Currently studying AAT/ACCA/CIMA
- Experience in the leisure industry
