Job Description

In this field sales role, you will engage customers through knowledgeable interactions, business discussions and educational opportunities about what IDEXX has to offer. You will leverage your consultative selling techniques to translate customer needs into diagnostic solutions that leverage IDEXX's suite of products. In helping veterinary practices grow their diagnostic revenue, you will establish yourself as a valued partner.

Communicating the true value of our products and services is at the heart of our IDEXX’s commercial business. Our sales professionals develop deep and meaningful relationships offering solutions to meet our customers' unique needs.


What you can expect in this role?

Your goal? Translating customer needs into diagnostic solutions through consultative selling techniques and positioning the overall IDEXX added value for setting up longer term partnerships and increased customer experience. You will act as a strong partner for veterinary clinics, build customer trust and loyalty thereby ensuring mutual growth.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Selling our medical devices to our veterinary customers.
  • Educating and training veterinary clinic staff on products, services and marketing initiatives.
  • Coaching and supporting your stakeholders in overcoming identified barriers.
  • Continuously expanding your customer base and establishing long-term relationships on various levels
  • Collaborating cross-functionally across the organization to ensure a great customer experience

You are able to meet the requirements of a field sales role that include but are not limited to extensive car travel (company car provided), travel overnight if needed, as well as flexibility for potential weekend work to attend tradeshows or other occasion meeting.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with targets, loves the feeling of a win and supports/collaborates with their team members. If you’re resilient, entrepreneurial and wants to join a growing/developing team, this is for you. You tick all the following boxes: Several years of successful territory management experience; you think strategically, you’re self-motivated and take ownership of your role. Your territory management sales experience has been in the veterinary/animal health industry, human healthcare medical device sales, dental device sales, and/or prior capital equipment sales. You are able to work well with others in a highly team oriented, collaborative, sales environment. Experience in consultative selling and winning new business. Outstanding communication skills across several stakeholders. A veterinary or medical background that helps you understand our business is advantageous. Fluency in English - verbal and written
