We are looking for someone with a strong internal controls, reporting and technical accounting background to come on-board to support the future growth of the business.

My client is looking for someone who has the following background,

• Qualified Accountant - ACA Big 4 or Equivalent
• Someone with a strong internal controls and reporting background
• Global consolidations experience would be ideal
• Someone who has had a very progressive career to date.

The Role

The successful Assistant Financial Controller must be a qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) and have a strong academic and technical background and experience working in a large group function.

Key responsibilities:

• Coordinating and reviewing the output of the monthly control pack process
• Reviewing the follow-up of internal audit points across the business
• Helping to review policies and procedures and monitoring the implementation and adherence to such policies across the Division
• Assisting with the roll-out of the Group Financial Control programme, to document, test and remediate controls across the Division
• Reviewing and rationalising the company structure in each of our countries across the Division, to set up or remove entities from the structure
• Dealing with technical accounting questions from the businesses
• Oversight of some of the Divisional accounting processes, such as inter-company re-charging, management charges etc.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The successful Assistant Financial Controller is likely to be a qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with a strong academic and reporting background. A strong proven track record of stability and career progression is key. This would suit someone who has worked in an accounting role for a global blue-chip business. This could suit a group accountant or financial accountant looking for a rapid step up.
