Your new role
You will be primarily responsible for supporting the Treasury & Tax Manager with all aspects of Treasury work, including preparing and reviewing the cash-flow forecasts (quarterly and annually), overseeing the Group's cash balances and managing the associated bank accounts. You will review the sales ledger, identifying and resolving any issues, and have responsibility for ensuring BACS payments are made accurately and on time. In order to complete these tasks, you will have support from and day to day management of a Senior Finance Assistant, training and developing them in line with the tasks outlined. You will also support your Manager with indirect tax returns and planning. Training will be provided in this regard, and will cover the preparation of EC Sales Lists, Intrastat returns and VAT calculations to be submitted to HMRC.

What you'll need to succeed
As the successful applicant, you will be a part-qualified Accountant or qualified by experience, with a proven track record of working within a busy Finance, Treasury or Tax Department for over 3 years. Specific experience of forecasting, Treasury and/or Indirect Tax will significantly enhance your application. Attention to detail and accuracy are paramount. You will also be able to work to your own initiative, organising and prioritising your workload to ensure deadlines are met. Examples of supervising or mentoring staff will be an advantage.
