The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to ensure our Internal IT services and customer-facing cloud solutions are stable and operating correctly.

The role involves the management, provisioning, monitoring and support of our production cloud environment as well as assisting with our internal IT systems. This role will be focused on maintaining this infrastructure, consolidating it driving best practices and designing Infrastructure for new and existing applications.

What you'll be doing

Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with the development and QA team to implement development pipelines and CI/CD
  • Researching/testing/recommending the right cloud products and services for new and existing solutions
  • Managing existing Infrastructure and services on AWS
  • Building secure, highly available and scalable cloud solutions on AWS
  • Reviewing and improving existing processes automate where possible
  • Mentoring of junior staff.
  • Assisting in the administration of Gsuite, Salesforce CRM and our cloud VOIP solution among others
  • Managing OS, DB and application upgrades
  • Participating in the on-call rota

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Achievement of a third level qualification in Computer Science or similar field. Significant experience (5 years plus) in sysadmin, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, SRE role or similar. Experience working with AWS building and architecting secure, highly available and scalable solutions. Experience Implementing CI/CD and Infrastructure as code. Experience with monitoring tools, datadog, newrelic, cloudwatch or similar. Linux admin skills i.e ubuntu, centos or redhat. A history for automating tasks (scripting) and improving processes. DB administration – MySQL, NoSQL. Knowledge of SSO – SAML2, OAuth is desirable. Highly motivated, results-oriented, with a focus on quality. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate well both within and outside the technical team, and comfortable dealing with everyone from front-line support to members of the senior executive team.
