Job Description

Working as part of small friendly team, this role will report directly into the Financial Controller. Amongst other duties, you can expect the following responsibilities:

  • Proactively engaging in Business to Business credit control efforts.
  • Making outbound telephone calls to ensure payment is received for goods.
  • Taking inbound calls from businesses looking to settle their accounts, in order to allow subsequent orders to be released.
  • Taking payment over the phone when required.
  • Arrange and conduct credit checking on new business to ensure payment terms can be met.
  • Ensure orders are released to customers in a timely manner.
  • Raise credit notes/sales invoices.
  • Managing the database to ensure accurate accounts are maintained.
  • Provide necessary bank statements to colleagues when requested.

This role would suit someone with previous experience of credit control, however transferable skills will be considered for this role.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Professional and approachable telephone manner. A 'firm but friendly' approach. Strong organisational and prioritisation skills. Able be adaptable to changing priorities.
