Job Description

We are looking to recruit a finance apprentice to join our busy finance team. Primarily involved in the processing of transactional data we are looking for an apprentice that has a genuine interest in pursuing a career in accountancy and finance, has strong attention to detail and a can-do attitude, ensuring tasks are completed.

Tasks include:

  • Learning Netsuite accounting system, for purchase ledger and sales ledger
  • Bookkeeping including bank reconciliation and matching invoices
  • Ensure all aspects of purchase ledger are completed - to include the processing of all invoices received, ensuring they are appropriately approved, and paid in a timely manner
  • Managing accounts payable inbox on a daily basis
  • Enter all company credit card expenses, ensuring the cost is posted to an appropriate expense code
  • Assisting with VAT returns for submission to HMRC and for review of senior accountant
  • Filing of documentation in manual and paperless filing systems
  • Any other data entry and processing as required

Desired qualifications

  • 3 A-Levels (A*-B/9-5) (Relevant subjects such as maths, Economics, Finance, Accounting or Physics can be advantageous)
  • 5 GCSE's (A*-C/9-4) including maths & English (B/6 or above)
  • Level 2 AAT or Level 2 Booking keeping (desirable, but not essential)

Future prospects

After completing your Accounting apprenticeship, progress into a full-time role with potential to complete further accountancy qualifications.
