Job Description

This position will suit those looking to further their careers with a role on a major project or programme. In addition to achieving the client’s own transformational estate objectives the projects priorities include health safety and wellbeing, BIM and digital construction, sustainability, government soft landings, social value creation, people and skill development and collaboration. This programme is being used as a catalyst for a number of industry wide innovations and would suit candidates interested in supporting and championing these causes.

  • Producing performance and reporting analysis within the programme management office (PMO) for new prisons programme.
  • Setting the standard for reporting and implementing an effective reporting culture.
  • Producing the programme report.
  • Creating of dashboards and report setup, development and configuration.
  • Being able to efficiently link all data provided to produce bespoke reports that suits client’s needs.
  • Deploying project controls processes, project management methodologies and reporting standards, templates and tools in accordance with the overarching reporting timetable.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and timely updates to delivery consistent use of reports using Power BI.
  • Reporting the programme status using Power BI to the PMO lead and head of reporting and control each month.
  • Following the standards and processes set by the PMO lead.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience in project and programme management and delivery (PMO delivery and transformation). Understanding and experience working with Power BI (coding expert). You have excellent project planning, estimating and financial forecasting skills with a working knowledge of best practice methodologies across several disciplines. Proven experience of using communication techniques in complex commercial environments, preferably with knowledge of government and civil service operating models. You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships. You will have a construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace have to offer.
