Job Description

We are searching for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly team as Office Manager on a full-time basis, working in our fast paced office environment to manage the smooth running of the office.

Within this role, a key focus will be to have overall responsibility for the Practice finance administration and debt control process whilst ensuring the submission of the monthly payroll and pension information, as well as prepare the quarterly VAT return.

It is also expected that you will be responsible and accountable for managing a small office based team and your attention and focus will be required on the following:

· People and process management

· Recruitment and selection

· Staff inductions

· Training

· Performance reviews

· Sickness and annual leave management

· Monitoring and supporting the delivery of team protocols, key performance indicators and objectives

· Support with office related tasks during busy periods

On a day to day basis, in support of the above key areas of focus, you will deal with all matters relating to the running of the office including handling complaints from clients, formulating and revising office protocols, monitoring processes and procedures, health and safety matters and organizing team and office meetings.

You will work closely with the Clinical Director in order to help move the Practice forward and achieve the objectives of delivering exceptional veterinary and client care.

Salary

£23,000 - £28,000 depending on experience

35-hour week.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Office management experience in all aspects of managing a team and related tasks · Experience on working on your own initiative · Experience of working with key performance indicators and meeting deadlines · Be an effective communicator · Well-developed organizational skills · Well-developed customer service skills · Some basic horse care knowledge · Experience in the veterinary sector is desirable however not essential. Excellent professional development/progression opportunity for the right candidate.
