Job Description

In the lead up to Christmas, we require full-time assistants (approx. 40 hours) for various departments in the shop. This may be on our butchery counter, deli counter, tills, shop floor, e-commerce, produce, warehouse or the Keelham Kitchen. Christmas is a busy time for us and these roles require people who are organized, can multi task, and are passionate about great tasting food! Your priority will be to deliver excellent customer service to our customers.

Key Accountabilities

  • Greet and serve customers efficiently and effectively with a friendly smile.
  • Ensure that your working area is kept clean and tidy at all times and follow cleaning schedules reported by management
  • Implement changes to merchandising plans and put out new promotional material
  • Provide helpful and friendly advice to customers about the products which we sell
  • Follow health & safety policies and food safety management policy at all times
  • Ensure that all stock used is properly rotated
  • Perform additional duties to the above as and when required by the business

COVID-19 considerations:
Face masks or visors are available for all team members. We have installed till screens, floor markers, and hand-sanitization stations and have removed food samples, cleared fixtures and fittings to widen aisles, and limit customer numbers when needed.

Experience:

  • IT: 1 year (Preferred)
  • food handling: 1 year (Preferred)
  • customer service: 1 year (Preferred)

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
A passion for delivering excellent customer service. Ability to work under own initiative and work effectively without direct supervision. Organized, enthusiastic & positive person and enjoys working as part of a team. Willingness to be flexible and work additional hours if required. Courteous and helpful manner and a strong desire to give our customers an enjoyable shopping experience and exceed their expectations. Excellent communication skills. High standards of personal and food hygiene.
