Bookkeeper
Permanent,Full-time
Job Description

Your new role
As part of an established Bookkeeping Team you will be working with a broad range of clients. You will be responsible for supporting these clients with their day to day accounting needs and drafting statutory accounts to trial balance. This will include ensuring ledgers are kept up to date, bank reconciliations are completed, and VAT returns are submitted to HMRC in accordance with deadlines. You will support clients regular queries (over the phone, email and when possible, in person) and assist them with the use of various accounting software, such as Sage, Xero and Quickbooks to name a few.

What you'll get in return
In addition to working for a successful, growing and welcoming firm made up of friendly and credible professionals, you will receive a competitive salary. You will also receive 31.5 days annual leave, pension and become part of a firm-wide group life policy (4 x annual salary). Whilst the role is ideally full-time, as this is a newly created position part-time individuals may be considered. As alluded, this firm also offers an enviable flexible working policy and has both a high quality and varied client base.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You will have previous bookkeeping experience in a practice setting - whether that be as part of a firm or on a successful self-employed basis - and be capable of managing a varied and challenging case load. You will ideally be AAT qualified, but this is not essential. Experience of using various accounting software would also be an advantage.
