Job Description

These roles are particularly suited for those who are looking for a return to work or looking for specific hours to fit around other commitments - as long as both individuals hired work together to ensure the front of house is manned during the full working day, we are flexible on days and hours worked by each receptionist.

General duties typically include;

  • Greeting clients and acting as the first point of contact for our company. Your professionalism and pleasant and welcoming personality should reflect our community based, family-led ethos
  • Answer the phone in a timely manner and deal with enquiries as appropriate
  • Pro-actively manage the appointment book on behalf of the optician who regularly works in the practice
  • Coordinating front desk activities, including general office administration such as filing
  • Completing NHS paperwork in preparation for upcoming appointments

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The ideal candidates will have excellent communication, both written and verbal, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic and be confident to provide front of house cover without additional support.
