Job Description

Bookkeeping role working for an Accountancy firm based in Watford. Posting of receipts and expenditure on a variety of packages such as Sage, Xero, VT and QuickBooks. Processing sales and purchase ledgers. Bank reconciliations. Dealing with VAT returns (compilation and submission). Processing with Euro accounts. EC Sales Lists. PayPal/Amazon analysis. Year-end adjustments Payroll; End to end payroll processing Weekly, fortnightly, 4 weekly, monthly and quarterly runs which have a variety of hourly timesheets and salaried employees and or Directors on Payroll manager. Working knowledge of RTI, SSP, SMP, SPP and attachment orders Autoenrolment pension processing and monitoring on Nest, Smart and Peoples Pension. Assisting with the Pension Regulator submissions for re-enrolment Holiday calculations and tracking. Liaising with both clients and Account Managers. The hours for this role are flexible but we would like a minimum of 37.5 hours per week. Office hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm, flexible start and finish times and are currently working part office based and part home based due to Covid-19 restrictions. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ideally you will have experience providing internal bookkeeping and payroll for accountancy practices. At least 3 years + bookkeeping and payroll experience. Keen eye for details. Well organised. Problem solving and issue resolution. Good MS Windows and Office skills. You may occasionally be required to attend client's premises so a full UK driving licence would be desirable.
