Depending on the level of experience the client can be flexible with the role offered in regards to the salary and responsibilities and they are more than happy to tailor the role to suit the right candidate.

New-client take on; start-up/take-over. Communicating with the client and ensuring a smooth engagement.

The software mainly used within the practice is Sage, Quickbooks and Excel, so experience of these systems would be preferred.Liaising with the Accounting Team to prepare and input journals on a monthly/quarterly basis, as well as prepare yearend reconciliations.

Salary - £25-28k

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The candidate will be required to oversee a small team of three to ensure VAT returns are prepared and submitted on time for circa 40 clients, therefore you must have knowledge and experience of the different types of VAT schemes. The candidate will be required to prepare and submit monthly CIS returns for circa 10 contractors and keep up with the everchanging legislation and ensure clients are kept up to date. Some payroll processing using Sage Payroll may be required on an ad-hoc basis
