About the company

My client, who I have a worked with for many years is an international construction firm working across EMEA. My client’s team is growing, and they require an additional Accounts Payable Clerk to join a team of 12 led by the Finance Manager. They require a driven and career focused individual, [who may be undertaking AAT/ACCA/CIMA studies], to undertake Purchase Ledger duties with the intention to progress to more senior duties in line with full study support.

What you will be doing?

Reporting into the Finance Manager, as an Accounts Payable Clerk you will be working on:

  • Processing high volumes of invoices
  • Preparing payment runs (BACS)
  • Compile and review aged credit reports
  • Setting up new supplier accounts
  • Resolving all queries from suppliers

Essential skills/experience

  • 1+ years’ experience across accounts payable/accounts receivable
  • Processing high volumes of invoices on time within payment terms
  • Professional manner communicating with suppliers and vendors
  • Intermediate Excel skills

Desirable skills/experience

  • Studying ACCA/AAT/CIMA qualification
  • Experience of accounting system
  • Experience in a similar industry
