Job Description

Right now, Hitachi Capital is going through a period of significant growth and transformation and have lots of exciting initiatives taking place. As a result, we are looking for a Senior Regulatory Adviser to join our Compliance team in Leeds.

As a Senior Regulatory Adviser, you will drive regulatory changes forward by offering guidance to HCUK Group on regulatory requirements. Using a risk-based approach, you will dissect and assess regulatory requirements; utilizing your expertise to recommend ways of implementing regulatory changes across the business.

Some of your key activities will include:

  • Act as a source of guidance for the business around regulatory requirements, ensuring that risks are highlighted and mitigated
  • Provide awareness of relevant new regulatory legislative developments and emerging regulatory risks
  • Support the business with implementation of regulatory changes for projects, product launches and change initiatives
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships, with all relevant internal stakeholders in order to ensure understanding and adherence to compliance obligations and regulatory requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You will be a pragmatic and commercially minded individual with a proven track record in a compliance role. Strong knowledge of FCA regulations and frameworks and relevant legislation, rules and guidance. Highly skilled at taking policies and turning them into procedural controls. Excellent stakeholder management skills with the drive to collaborate to deliver solutions. Ability to think operationally and strategically to make sound commercial business decisions.
