Job Description

The role will be largely contract admin and the candidate will need to liaise with the designers, the fitout contractor and project leads to manage NEC4 contract and administration thereof on behalf of the project lead who will be the named Project Manager under NEC.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:

  • Administering the design & construction contract (NEC)
  • Liaise with all stakeholders incl. project design & construction team, customer team, client building & facilities management, project managers from other projects within the building.
  • Administer all documentation and correspondence under the NEC contract, collate all contract notices such as early warnings, compensation events, change requests etc. and prepare responses for the project manager (lead).
  • Maintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects; liaising with other managers to ensure efficient project admin control
  • Undertaking contract administration services with limited supervision
  • Delivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner
  • Providing support to the team leader/service leaders in project management of projects
  • Representing the company and the client in a secondment environment in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
BSc in construction management, architecture, building surveying or equivalent Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), Association of Project Management (MAPM), Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB). A minimum of five years’ technical delivery experience gained within a global construction consultancy or construction contractor Pre- and post-contract experience Good technical writing, client-facing and communication skills Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined, commercially astute with good contract knowledge A team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible
