Job Description

 

  • Manage and develop a successful specification team to achieve supply chain agreements of Parex products and generate a pipeline of projects to yield high margin revenue with a strong emphasis on gaining , and securing sales from specifications. Identify key decision makers, build strong relationships, selling value, our service and expertise.
  • To liaise effectively with all team members to ensure that experiences and market understanding is shared effectively to help define strategy for Target Market Building Finishing team. Support existing and mentor new members of staff where appropriate.
  • To comply with all policy and procedures of the company including promoting and identify opportunities for other target markets and Parex/Sika solutions. Focus on early stage engagement through collaborating with customers at the specification level.
  • Maintain collaborative working practises, developing good rapport and relationships with all internal stakeholders. Work closely with colleagues of other Sika product lines to leverage our scale and capitalise on all specification and selling opportunities for a project.
  • To maintain and co-ordinate up-to-date and accurate records on the company’s Customer Relationship Management System, including reporting competitor activity and threats in a concise manner and work to raise the standard of Parex/Sika standing.
  • Be thoroughly conversant with the Parex/Sika websites, to promote it and contribute to updates required to ensure its use as a sales tool and to work closely with the Building Finishes Product and Technical Manager.

WORKING HOURS: Field-based, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Has an advanced knowledge of construction techniques, materials and application techniques Has the ability to lead Has an understanding and knowledge of the Hard Landscaping & Public Realm Sector Has proven record in and understanding of construction and specification related sales Has a knowledge of the specification process and the roles of all stakeholder types Can fully grasp new technology development and market positioning Recognises interpersonal dynamics and their effect on negotiations Can utilise sales databases to create opportunities Is self-motivated, resilient, and self-reliant Has excellent time management and organisation skills and knows how to prioritise to achieve set targets Looks to solve problems and find solutions Qualification in specification sales and or a building related science would be an advantage Supports sales management and colleagues and take responsibility for any tasks as requested
