About the company

My client, a leading City of London based management consultancy who provides premium services to clients across multiple industries is seeking a versatile and career driven Purchase Ledger Assistant to start immediately as part of its expansion plan. My client’s accounts team of 10, staff led by the Accounts Manager, has a culture of internal promotion and progression. They are keen to take on someone who has completed or is currently doing their ACCA/AAT/CIMA qualification.

What you will be doing?

Reporting into the Accounts Manager, as a Purchase Ledger Clerk you will be working on:

  • Processing daily invoices
  • Foreign currency payments
  • Processing expense claims (including credit card expenses)
  • Month-end bank and supplier reconciliation
  • Resolving all queries from suppliers

Essential skills/experience

  • 1 + years’ experience across accounts payable
  • Flexibility, ability to communicate at all levels
  • Experience within a medium size accounts team
  • Intermediate Excel skills

Desirable skills/experience

  • Studying ACCA/AAT/CIMA qualification
  • Experience using an accounting system
  • Experience in a similar industry
