To maintain design guide and related guides by liasing with other stakeholders as necessary identifying improvements to minimise construction defects and achieve value for money.
Ensure Constructual Amendments to the standard suite of JCT contracts as appropriate are reviwed and kept up to date.
To establish and maintain the quality standards required in the design of projects, includes technical input (pre-construction from RIBA stage 0-4 and construction RIBA 5-6)
To assist in the appointment of consultants, contractors and developers including managing, monitoring and reporting on their performance, with input from the respective internal Project Managers.
To manage internal Quality Control Inspectors or those employed as consultants ensuring the highest standard of on-site technical expertise, quality control and supervision on all development schemes within their remit is provided.
To manage New Homes Customer Care Co-ordinator and support the Delivery Team on major defects/schemes which may result in contract disputes or litigation.
To maintain regular communication and attend design and progress meetings at key stages of the construction phase including review of detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models and projects.
Ensure works on site are being carried out in accordance with required Health and Safety standards.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum HNC, HND or CIOB or equivalent in a construction related discipline. Thorough knowledge of building regulations. Background in residential construction. Working knowledge of Construction Contracts. Knowledge of site inspection/quality control processes. Site based Health & Safety training and awareness.
