You will join our Transport Project Management Department
As our new BIM Coordinator, you will be part of the Digital Design Team working on major Transport projects to help guide and assist the project teams in maximising the benefit of the BIM processes. You will work closely with the BIM Managers in our UK Offices. It is our intention that by working closely with our BIM Managers you will learn what real world “BIM” is from people that have many years’ experience in this field to help you develop an advanced digital design capability.
Initially you will be taught how to generate good information models using various BIM tools. From there you will learn how to federate and audit models and how to set up BIM projects properly. As you learn and grow you will be helping some of the biggest names in the industry maximise the potential of BIM, becoming a sought after BIM specialist that really understands what best practice means and how to deliver it, and in turn will help in upskilling our people in the latest technologies. Our Transport team has a good portfolio of high-quality projects and are currently heavily involved in delivering BIM to HS2 and the Welsh Government and are on Frameworks for Highways England and Network Rail.

To be suitable for this role, you will have a minimum of ONC/OND in a Building/Civil Engineering or related discipline, a lesser qualification may be considered if a candidate has 10+ years highly relevant experience. You will also preferably be a member or associate member of an appropriate construction focused association or institute (e.g. APM, ICE, IED, etc), or if not currently a member of such organisation you will be required to work towards and achieve this qualification within a reasonable agreed timeframe.
