To ensure the accurate reporting and control of the raw materials, consumables and finished goods stocks in line with company requirements.
Maintain accurate data in the companies' stock control system (MAPICS) to assure up to date stock and financial records.
Purchase all necessary raw materials, packaging, containers and production consumables as required to maintain the companies short, medium and long-term production activities.
Provide a supporting role to the Accounts Assistant, undertaking their key tasks as and when required.
Act as a key figure in annual stock take and reporting activities.
Key Tasks:
Stock Control.
Record all production activity and stock movements in MAPICS and any other reporting format required to maintain accurate and up to date company data.
Ensure all month end and year end activities are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Work with Key Stake Holders to ensure cylinders, drums and ISO tanks are sent off site for refurbishment and correctly recorded.
Track and control any cylinders filled by a 3rd party organisation, maintaining necessary records to ensure timely and correct payments to supplier are achieved.
Own and manage the Cofriset cylinder returns activity, liaising with the Cylinder Preparation Supervisor to achieve an exact returns data for processing payment to customer.
Recognise and report any issues with stock accuracies.
Involve key stake holders to help investigate issues, identify root causes and address any issues as required.
Bulk Stock Activities.
Maintain accurate and up to date stock level data for the bulk production tanks, helping identify when deliveries of bulk gasses are required on site.
Work with key stake holders to ensure movements of stock in and out of the Hinckley site are recorded in a timely and accurate manner.
Liaise with US stock controllers to maintain required tank records for the ISO tank fleet in the UK, proactively highlighting the need for tanks to be inspected / refurbished when required.
Accounting activities.
Raise purchase orders in MAPICS as required for bulk stocks, production consumables and packaging materials as required.
Act as a support and back up to the Accounts Assistant within the GAAP framework:
Receive materials into stock, as required.
Undertake Accounts Payable duties, processing payments to suppliers as and when authorised to do so by the Plant Manager, Managing Director or authorised person.
Execute Accounts Receivable activities, liaising with the customer service department as required.
