Job Description

The successful Project Engineer will be responsible for project managing the engineering for a fleet of utility scale reciprocating engines (peaking plants), battery energy storage and green hydrogen electrolysis plants.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the successful Civil project engineer will be responsible for leading civil engineering activities on assigned projects and supporting the delivery of new projects through the project delivery life cycle of concept, feasibility, consent, construction & commissioning.

The Civil Project Engineer will focus primarily on the specification and design of all civil engineering, construction and contracting activities, starting with tendering activities and ending with energisation.

Civil Project Engineer key requirements;

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in: Developing project requirements, cost estimates, project plans and budgets within the construction industry (preferably on large >£10m projects)
  • Working knowledge of power projects (Transmission & Distribution, Power Generation, Renewable energy or related)
  • Civil and structural technical design experience
  • Monitor, control, and report on progress (costs and budget throughout the project)
  • Bachelor or master's degree in civil engineering or another construction related area

You will form part of the wider Engineering Team working alongside colleagues who will lead on mechanical, electrical, and C&I functions. Exposure to a broad range of latest generation energy assets is on offer.
