Job Description

Key tasks and responsibilities – what you’ll be doing
The successful candidate will report to the Lead Control and Instrumentation Engineer and will be doing the following:

  • Participating in P&ID development.
  • Specification of process control equipment including control valves, relief valves, flow measurement devices, process instrumentation.
  • Design, specification, configuration and testing of control and analytical systems
  • Coordination with various execution centres
  • Interface management between other contractors, licensors and package equipment manufactures.
  • Participation in review meetings.
  • Reporting and forecasting activities.
  • Inspection and testing of systems at fabricator works and for commissioning on site.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Degree in Chemical Engineering, Control and Instrumentation Engineering or related Engineering discipline with relevant experience in an engineering design or operating organisation, preferably within the Process Industry. Knowledge in the application of Process Controls systems (DCS, PLC); Familiar with use of SmartPlant Instrumentation, including population of data sheets Familiar with using P&IDs. The ability to self-motivate and work on own initiative, under the guidance of experienced and helpful senior engineers. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills so that you can work with colleagues and suppliers located in multiple geographies The ability to undertake occasional local and international travel for inspection, construction contractor supervision or commissioning. Relevant practical site experience would be a benefit but is not essential
