Job Description
The team has been established to provide dedicated technical and accounting support to the business in the closure of legal entities outside of the UK, and supports our wider efforts on legal entity rationalisation.
To ensure all international reporting and compliance activities within the individual’s area of control are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
This involves the completion of legal entity statutory accounts in line with deadlines and working closely with the business to ensure that the audit process for the international legal entities are managed appropriately.
The individual will also be involved in ensuring that each legal entity is compliant with company policies, and processes are well controlled.
This role has the following key responsibilities:
- Responsible for the preparation and completion of the legal entity statutory accounts in applicable countries, ensuring that there is supporting information held for all balances and disclosures reported, and that deadlines for returns are met
- Ensuring that the balance sheet is correctly reported and fully reconciled, with appropriate supporting analysis
- Liaising with in-country accounting and tax advisors, and our in-house local support
- Support the completion and filing of relevant tax compliance returns, forms and other matters
- Resolving and supporting ongoing tax, treasury, legal and commercial matters (with the support of other group functions) in order to bring the relevant entities in to a suitable position for closure
- Completion of relevant due diligence and step plans in readiness for closure
- Work closely with the Legal Entity Rationalization team to ensure that requirements are met for ongoing entity closures
- Support with other activity and tasks across the wider team as and when required
