Job Description

This role will see you working as part of a talented specialist team focussing on facade re-use and repair projects. You will spend significant amounts of time in a site and client facing contexts, so we are looking for someone that's comfortable being externally facing in this way.

You'll be working alongside industry-renowned experts who hold extensive technical expertise in Facade re-use, and drawing upon the skills and knowledge of other related disciplines such as fire engineering, sustainability and asset management.

Above all, we're looking for someone that's passionate about existing buildings (that can span from heritage buildings to newly built facades) and can leverage our integrated service offer to achieve sustainable outcomes for the built environment.

Joining our friendly, close-knit team, this is an ideal role for a consultant, surveyor or engineer with some experience of or an interest in developing a detailed knowledge of facade diagnostic, due diligence or inspection work.

• With the support of senior staff and job leaders, provide practical advice to clients with respect to facade re-use, restoration and remediation.
• Carrying out site surveys and investigations;
• Identifying technical solutions in conjunction with the team and assisting in the development of technical facade reports and specifications;
• Meeting with clients and collaborators on site and assist to facilitate resolution of construction issues related to facade restoration and remediation;
• Assist in leveraging existing and trialling new relevant tools and data platforms to capture, record and feedback construction information to our design teams (e.g. facade and fire engineering);
• Actively working towards professional registration with a relevant institution.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Track record as a facade consultant/engineer/surveyor with some exposure to facade diagnostic, due diligence or inspection work. Experience writing technical façade reports and specifications. Able to propose multiple solutions to challenges and articulate and document the benefits and shortfalls of each. Comfortable operating in a client facing capacity Site inspection and supervision experience Willing to spend extended periods of time on site (combined with desk based working); Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline.
