Job Description

About the job

You will be responsible for processing monthly timesheets to produce site based operatives’ payroll and resolving queries ensuring payroll deadlines are met. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

· Check submitted timesheets and supporting documents to ensure payroll is accurate and within budget – address any concerns or queries with the Contract Manager, Supervisor or Centre Manager

· Confirm potential employee’s right to work using the document scanner, liaising with the Home Office Enforcement Office and completing an Employers Checking Service form (when required).

· Accurately process Statutory payments, tax code changes, attachments to earnings, holiday leave

· Set up employee files on CMS and ensure all employee information is correctly saved within them

· Carry out year-end procedures and produce relevant reports eg P60’s submitted to HMRC and employees.

· Set up loans and deductions for employees and ensure repayments are processed in line with agreements

· Assist with basic accounting duties as and when required

About you

You will have the ability to communicate information clearly and concisely to employees of all levels. We are looking for someone with proven experience of inputting, processing and reviewing payroll. You will need to be attentive to detail with the ability to understand complex information, working well under pressure and managing stressful situations effectively and calmly. Knowledge of associated payroll and employment legislation is necessary and you will need to be committed to ensure this knowledge remains up to date and relevant. We are looking for a logical thinker with exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, competent IT and mathematical knowledge and a team player with a hands on approach.
