Job Description

This position will likely transfer to staff after several months. You should possess a professional accounting qualification (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA) and be available immediately or at short notice.

Reporting into the Regional Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for the following:

• Assisting the Regional Controller and Assistant Regional Controller with the management of the finance function.
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and principles.
• Preparing sales invoices and third party rebills.
• Ensuring compliance with tax filings for designated areas.
• Assisting with monthly financial close activities.
• Coordinating the preparation, audit and filing of statutory financial statements.
• Ensuring compliance with AFE policy.
• Assisting with interpretation of financial statements, highlighting any cost saving opportunities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You must hold a professional accounting qualification (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA) and hold 5 years PQE. You should be able to demonstrate your ability to collaborate in a team environment and be able to communicate effectively. Possessing strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP you should have experience in accounting in international locations and of statutory filings, VAT, WHT and PIT.
