Job Description

The successful candidate will be a Qualified ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent and we are looking for candidates who do not require sponsorship for this role.

For this role, you’ll have strong practice experience at a Managerial level because you’ll be part of a growing and dynamic team. As well as managing a portfolio of audit clients situated within the busy Aberdeen office, this role will be a key part of developing a dedicated Audit offering in Aberdeen and working closely with the Partners and other Audit teams across the country.

Key responsibilities within this role include:
 

  • Managing the planning, execution and finalization of all areas of the audit
  • Responsibility for clients and the portfolio, with a final review by Engagement Leader
  • Identifying and understanding client needs, suggest potential solutions on technical matters and communicating and agreeing client needs and potential solutions
  • Active engagement with senior client staff in order to gain a good understanding of their business and ensure the efficient execution of the audit
  • Managing engagement economics
  • Managing, coaching and developing team members
  • Involvement in initiatives and business development for the growth of the Aberdeen Practice

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Qualified ACA/CA/ACCA or equivalent.Good working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS. Experienced in managing and coaching team members. Experience managing engagements. Experienced in producing and presenting client reports. Genuine interest in the market, industry and clients you work with, including knowledge of current economic and market trends. Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) with all stakeholders. Confident at building rapport with clients and maintaining excellent relationships. Great role model for colleagues and ambassador for the firm. Flexibility to adapt to challenges. Proactive problem solver. Good skills with technology including high proficiency in the Office 365 suite of products.Highly developed listening and questioning techniques. Business development experience or experience with tenders. Personal value of delivering high quality work. High level of drive for success, a positive attitude, enthusiastic outlook, agile mind and resilient in times of pressure. A team player who collaborates and communicates with respect. Effective time management skills and well organized. The ability to work autonomously, take initiative and seek out opportunities to improve relationships and processes.
