Job Description

Audit Manager Responsibilities

  • Managing a varied portfolio of audit clients
  • Assisting the leadership team in the winning of new work
  • Developing the Firm’s audit service line
  • Building strong internal relationships with other offices and service lines
  • Developing and maintaining effective client relationships and identifying cross-selling opportunities where appropriate
  • Resource planning/staff allocation
  • Managing the audit from planning through to completion stage
  • Reviewing the audit work and leading by example
  • Reporting findings to Partners and preparing audit report/summary
  • Assisting with inhouse training sessions
  • Ensuring that work is completed within the agreed timescales and budgets

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Be a Qualified Accountant – ACCA/ICAS or equivalent. Have had exposure to external audit within an Accountancy Firm. Possess strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport and credibility. Have a proactive and forward-thinking approach.
