Job Description
Principal Accountabilities
- Respected Diving Authority with Technical and Operational Experience.
- Proactive technical member of staff within the NHC technical / consultancy team.
- Point of contact for HRF clients and classification bodies i.e. Lloyds.
- Owns all NHC Technical Solutions ensuring they can be delivered on time and budget. Solutions include all engineering based customer requirements (with the exception of planned maintenance of existing assets) including new HRF’s and future trial mates of SPHL’s arrangements or other bespoke requirements requiring the development of new or existing designs in conjunction with JFD engineering department.
- Responsible for the approval of all NHC external audits, FMECA and review work carried out by NHC’s consultants to ensure they are factually correct, consistent, and of a high quality.
- Interfaces with clients regarding commercial diving safety, operational diving aspects and subsea knowledge and procedures as NHC’s Technical Authority.
- Represents NHC on external committees and workgroups [if and where applicable], ensuring company compliance with relevant safety bodies and trade organizations.
- Assess the competence and quality of NHC’s external auditors and consultants.
- Member of the emergency response team for recovery of a Self-Propelled Hyperbaric Lifeboat.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Relevant experience within a suitable role in the commercial diving industry. Experience and an understanding in project management / planning and scheduling. Experienced with Diving Systems/ and Associated Equipment. Technical understanding of Commercial / SAT diving operations. High level of knowledge on IMCA guidance and HSE regulations. Awareness of all Management of Change processes and risk assessments associated with diving operations within upstream. Experience in management of personnel. Strong verbal and written communication skills. HSE Diving qualification Part 1 and 2 essential.
