Job Description

The successful candidate must meet the three key criteria:

  • Able to Monday - Friday in the afternoons - ideally 12pm - 5pm
  • Must have Sales Ledger experience and excellent understanding of Sage Line 50 and associated order processing including setting up projects/jobs on client accounts.

Part-Time Accounts Assistant duties will include:

Sales ledger activity: Input into Sage complex job progress sheets to create the job after quotes have been accepted.

Raise pro-forma invoices and request deposit payments from clients (credit card, debit card or credit cards).

Generate the invoices from despatch notes upward of 20 per day send PDF’s to clients. Ad-hoc invoicing average 3-4 per day.

Credit control - of account and non- account customers (approx. 50). Client focused approach, requires positive telephone manner and capacity to deal with queries, send copy invoices and agree dates for payment and document notes on Sage.

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate must be a competent user of Sage Line 50 because the full sales order and invoice process is conducted through Sage.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow a process through to accurate conclusion is essential. The ability to raise queries internally with production and communicate professionally and efficiently with customers in terms of requesting deposit payments and credit control is also essential.
