Job Description

To manage the daily operations in the UK and outside project work when designated.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Manage operations planning with clients and technicians throughout the full course of the job.
  • Full responsibility for the P&L account ensuring all costs are controlled and maximum revenues achieved.
  • Build relationships with NOV Rig Technologies division to fully support their requirements.
  • Lead and oversee all commercial and technical negotiations in relation to business development and operational issues.
  • Make sales visits to clients to support existing business and generate new business opportunities.
  • Ensure all inspection, testing and rope access PPE equipment is managed in a controlled system working to our company procedure and safe to use at all times.
  • Manage approved vendor accounts to support the business.
  • Responsible to select competent and qualified personnel required for each job.
  • Ensure all visas, travel arrangements, accommodation and transportation for personnel.
  • Ensure all equipment is made available prior to a job and make arrangements to mobilize to location in a timely manner.
  • Manage and improve functional areas and processes in order to achieve a high level of operational efficiency and effectiveness by developing and maintaining effective operational systems with optimum utilization of resources.
  • Ensure all duties carried out are in accordance with the Quality Assurance, HSE and company procedures and departmental work instructions.
  • Prepared to be hands on in all aspects of the rope access business.
  • Attend IRATA meetings in accordance with IRATA requirements.
  • Carry out internal IRATA audits.
  • Carry out IRATA audits with external auditor.
  • Ensure all RA personnel are suitably trained and qualified to IRATA requirements.
  • Ensure all rope access equipment is maintained and documented in accordance with LOLER and IRATA
  • Manage and create risk assessments internally and externally.
  • Carry out/manage Inspection of all PPE.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
High school diploma or college education. BA or Diploma in Business Management. Qualified IRATA Level 3 Rope Access technician – expired certificate is acceptable. PPE inspection certified desirable. LEEA certified desirable. Working knowledge of rope access operations management and an understanding of overseas projects. Working knowledge within the oil industry. Accountable for a P&L cost center. Understanding of rope access work covering LGI, NDT and/or Rigging project work. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be confident to make sales calls and conduct operations meetings with customers. Must be able to work and make decisions independently. Excellent leadership skills. Team player.
