Job Description

This role leads the implementation of policies and procedures; supervising to support the Bristow Group engineering requirements.

Manage engineering components of the Bristow Group Safety Management System, including hazard identification, risk management, internal auditing and subcontractor control processes Serve as the focal point for engineering related issues coordinating with the post holders and Part M, Pt 147, Pt 145 and Part 21 organizations as required to disseminate information and feedback and tracking. Ensure the effective investigation of engineering incidents and near misses, with a focus on preventive and corrective actions, coordinating with HR to ensure effective case management. Participating in engineering MOCs to ensure impact across the organization is fully identified and meets regulatory requirements. Oversee the collection, analysis and reporting of engineering trends reported through FOCUS cards, ASRs, GORs, GHRs, accident reports and shared information from other regions. To co-ordinate the engineering audit program ensuring quality and consistency of audit reporting, monitoring findings and observations to identify trends and repeat findings and ensuring effective closer. To monitor the engineering authorization database by providing quality oversight to ensure providence of the database is maintained. To manage the internal safety and compliance department audit program.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum 5 years of experience within the aviation sector. Experienced engineer Detailed knowledge/understanding of regulations nationally with the ability to develop and communicate proposed amendments Engineering application or proven experience in one or more of the following aviation areas:- aircraft engineering Pt 145 flight safety Part M Part 21 Detailed understanding of Safety Management System requirements. 3 or more years of supervisory experience or leadership role with a willingness to develop skills further customer/client focus in oil & gas industry customer/client focus in aviation contract bid experience experience with subcontractor control processes. Desirable - Licensed engineer (Part66 or other). Desirable - recognized academic qualification undergraduate level or equivalent in an appropriate discipline which includes behavioral sciences and or Human Factors Investigation. Lead Auditor qualification for ISO 9001:2015. Incident/Accident investigation training and experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
