Job Description

This isn’t to say you’ll become a bare-foot beachcomber as the role demands a skilled and experienced Technical Manager who wants to play a pivotal part in the further growth of an already successful food manufacturing business.

If it’s been said that you’re a good leader who can capture the hearts and minds of your teams, then this could be the role for you. While strong management skills are required, leadership ability is essential to guide a largely long-term, loyal and committed workforce into new ways of working and thinking about the business.

We are seeking an experienced food industry quality professional who will be responsible for all aspects of quality control, quality assurance, customer and supplier quality, product compliance and quality leadership. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will also be adept at building relationships throughout the business to support their next stage of growth and development. This will include, for example, assisting the Site Manager with Process Development, Continuous Improvement, and Capital Investment Projects. This is a varied and interesting role, working with a team of dedicated and knowledgeable management team that has ambitious plans for the future.

In a nutshell, we want somebody who has a solid food production background, good raw materials knowledge, an ability to liaise well with B2B and retail clients, and can bring the best out of people.

The role is offering a generous salary package of £55K - £65K + benefits and relocation assistance if required. Applications are welcomed from candidates based in the UK and Ireland, and internationally, with exceptional written and oral English language skills.

Experience:

  • § Quality Assurance Management : 1 year (Preferred)
  • technical/quality management in food industry: 5 years (Required)

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technical/quality management function within the food industry. Degree level or qualified by experience in Food Technology, Food Science, or a science-related field. Quality Assurance Management experience. Lead Auditor experience. HACCP qualification (desirable). Good understanding of British Retail Consortium – Global Standard for Food Safety and ISO9001/ISO14001. Knowledge of Heat Processing of Liquids (desirable). Inspirational leadership qualities.
