Job Description

Responsible for billing, accounting and debt collection for Lender Services, client contracts, ensuring clients are billed accurately and timely and in line with contracts. Ensuring financial, regulatory and contractual compliance and providing financial assistance to Lender Services operations teams.

  • Managing a ring fenced Lender Services finance team to ensure client service level agreements (SLA's) are met
  • Setting targets and providing support and training for the team
  • Complete awareness and familiarity with all Lender clients’ financial requirements as detailed within their individual SLA's
  • Ensuring that all lender clients are invoiced accurately within Contractual timelines
  • Ensuring, where required, the accurate and timely distribution of funds to and from lender clients
  • Responsible for, debtor management and recovery
  • Responsible for audit feedback from lender clients on finance sections
  • Responsible for management reporting including performance against financial targets
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting to Senior Management
  • Review risks and set the appropriate controls to mitigate risks
  • Ensure processes and controls are documented and that controls are operated to maintain an efficient credit control and escalation process
  • Liaise with Finance departments of Lender clients in a prompt and professional manger
  • Provide agreed and signed off invoicing process bibles to the Lender clients keeping audit trail of changes
  • Ensure Scottish Law Society and SRA rules and all other legal requirements are adhered to
  • Continually review processes to seek efficiencies and improvements.
  • Assist with Tenders for new contracts ensuring that new contracts can be serviced efficiently and profitably
  • Ensure LSPG Policies and Procedures are adhered to at all times

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Member of a professional accountancy body (ICAS, ACCA, or equivalent qualification). Experience of working in a controlled and deadline-driven environment. High level of commercial awareness with an understanding and appreciation of business practices, approaches, organization and culture Project management. Excellent data analytical skills and advanced level of Excel experience. Experience and ability to work under own initiative and keep management and stakeholders engaged and updated with progress. Team management. Bulk billing automation. Clear and concise written and oral communication. Working knowledge of professional services’ firm including regulatory rules regarding management of client funds under Scottish and English Law Society rules. Proactive, self-starter with proven ability to problem solve. Methodical, analytical and decisive with good attention to detail. Excellent communicator. Collaborative. Tenacious.
